Download the latest stable or beta versions:
Beta - Beta updates contain bugs, new untested features, and possibly errors.
Stable - Please use the Stable stream in a production environment, though there may be some known bugs.
ZIP - contains all the required files for a new installation.
VLX - contains just the program, useful if you already have EC Pro installed.
Installation
Installation
Extract the files to a folder on your computer which is also in the AutoCAD support directory list. A common location is the "Program Files\<AutoCAD Installation Folder>\Support" folder, but you can add your own folder.
If you are using your own folder, add the folder to the Support File Search Paths in the AutoCAD options. This includes both Support File Search Paths as well as Trusted Locations.

Start AutoCAD. Select the menu "Tools," then "Customize", then "Menus..."
Click on the tab called "Menu Groups" at the top. Then click on "Browse."
Locate the folder where you extracted the files. Open the ec-pro.cuix file.
Next, hit "Load." Finally, hit "Close."

Start AutoCAD. Select the menu "Tools," then "Load Application..."
Locate the folder where you extracted the files. Select the ec-pro.vlx file.
Next, hit "Load." Finally, hit "Close."
You can add this file to the Startup Suite so it will load automatically each time you start AutoCAD.
Registration
Registration
Type the command EC-REGISTER.
Follow the instructions and select your options.
Once complete, a file will be saved on your desktop.
Email the registration file to support@jims-tools.com.
Use one of our convenient methods of payment.
Receive the activation code via email. Response is usually within 24 hours.
Type the command EC-ACTIVATE.
Enter the information. The name must match what you send when you registered.
For Corporate licensing, you may find it easier to deploy a license file. Please see the Knowledgebase for more information.

You must install the application to choose your License. Alternatively, you may email us first to coordinate purchases.
Expiration - If your license expires, you will revert to the free Limited Lifetime license! None of your styles will be lost, you just won't be able to use them until you renew your license again.
Trial - Request a free 6-Week Trial license! All features are unlocked giving you enough time to explore all the features before making your decision.
Annual - For annual licenses, the term starts the day you receive the activation code, not when you enter it into the program.
Lifetime - A lifetime license helps fund further development of the program. Lifetime licenses are non-transferable, but you may request a reissue if you get a new computer.
Individual - An Individual license is linked to the machine you are using when you send the registration code. Any number of users may use the program on this one computer. If you wish to use the license on a work computer and a home computer, you must purchase two licenses. Discounts may apply, contact us to discuss your options!
Corporate - Corporate licenses are linked to the corporate domain. Any computer on the corporate domain may use the license. Home licenses will not be issued for Corporate users. All computers that use EC Pro must be joined to the Corporate domain. Support is limited to 10 users. For support for more than 10 users, please contact us for available options. If you do not have a corporate domain, you must purchase an individual license for each machine. Discounts may apply, contact us to discuss your options!
Save, Swap, and Manage Styles - You can save and restore Styles only with a paid license. If using the free Limited Lifetime license, you can still modify the label properties you just cannot save them. If your license expires, your styles are safe. Just renew and have unlimited access to your styles again. Test out the convenience of saving and restoring Styles by requesting a free 6-Week Trial license!
Multileaders - Multileaders help simplify your drawings and EC Pro. You may use the Multileader options only with one of our paid licenses.
Updates - Updates for all licenses are always included for free!
Reissue - If you get a new computer or your old one crashes, then you will need a new activation code.
Individual Annual - You must purchase a new license. Contact us for your options.
Individual Lifetime - You may request a new license code once per year, limit 3 times total (to prevent abuse).
All Corporate licenses - You do not need a reissue unless your corporate domain name changed (documentation required, and subject to validation).
Bug reports & Feature Requests
Limited or Annual - You may submit bug reports but revisions will not be made available until the next public release.
Lifetime - We will review your bug or feature request immediately (Rapid Released Updates) and issue any bug fixes directly to you.
Full Support (with Rapid Released Updates)
Lifetime - Active support is offered, updates will be issued on an as-needed basis, possibly prior to the next public release.
Limited or Annual - Support requests will be addressed, but resolution will be provided on the next public release.
